Ancestry edges closer on full 1911 census index

This week, Ancestry has made more of the 1911 census for England fully searchable. Since the last item on Cutlock & Co on this (1st Dec 2011), the following have been added:

Complete counties

• Bedfordshire
• Berkshire
• Cambridgeshire
• Middlesex
• Shropshire
• Surrey
• Lancs and Notts have moved up from “98%”

98% complete

• Dorset
• Hampshire
• Herefordshire
• Suffolk
• Wiltshire

Partially searchable

• Buckinghamshire
• Hertfordshire
• Huntingdonshire
• Kent
• Military bases

Update

The 1911 census became fully searchable, across all areas, on Ancestry on 11th May.
